Flicks is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information when you use our camera application.

Information We Collect

We do not collect personal information. Flicks does not require account creation, does not track your location, and does not use analytics.

Camera and Photo Library Access

Flicks requires access to your device's camera to capture photos and to your photo library to save photos and import existing photos for editing. This access is used solely for the core functionality of the app. You can manage these permissions in your device settings at any time.

AI Photo Editing and Third-Party Services

Flicks includes an optional AI photo editing feature. When you use this feature:

• Photos are sent to third-party AI services: Your photos are transmitted to OpenRouter, which processes them using Google Gemini AI models.
• You provide your own API key: To use AI editing, you must provide your own OpenRouter API key. This key is stored securely on your device using iOS Keychain and is never sent to us.
• Third-party privacy policies apply: When using AI editing, your photos are subject to OpenRouter's Privacy Policy and Google's Privacy Policy.
• AI editing is optional: You can use all core camera features without enabling AI editing. No photos are sent externally unless you explicitly use the AI editing feature.

Data Stored on Your Device

Flicks stores the following data locally on your device:

• Your camera preferences and settings
• Your OpenRouter API key (if provided), stored securely in iOS Keychain
• Photos you capture, saved to your photo library

None of this data is transmitted to us or stored on our servers.

Data Security

Your photos and settings are protected by your device's built-in security features. Your API key is stored using iOS Keychain, Apple's secure credential storage system. We do not have access to any data stored on your device.

Children's Privacy

Flicks does not knowingly collect information from children under 13. The app is suitable for all ages. Note that the AI editing feature requires an OpenRouter account, which has its own age requirements.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Last updated" date.
